Overview

The Neon Metering Modules, NMMs, and Neon Remote Modules, NRMs, are small self contained dataloggers compete with 3G modems in a compact case which connect to sensors in the field, collect readings from those sensors, and transmit the collected data to a central server via a cellular telephone network.

Essentially the same unit within the case, the NRM comes fitted with a small LCD display and buttons to check signal strength and perform limited functions including initialization. Both units are designed to automate collection of remote data from environmental monitoring, industrial measurement, and utility metering via cellular networks from any location within the cellular network coverage area.

Data is then automatically sent to a central server where it can be accessed quickly and simply over the internet. The data service is provided on a hosted data basis on the secure Neon central server system or alternatively on a client system basis with the Neon software loaded onto the clients own server providing a central computer system to monitor and receive data from many Neon NMM or NRM units in the field.

Fully bi-directional communications are possible via the Neon server. Data can be collected directly and configuration changes can be made from any internet connection.

The NMM/NRM Terrestrial supports integrated logging or automated collection of data from an external data logger and built-in modem supports packet data, switchboard circuit data, and SMS communications.

They have long battery lifes and low operating costs through use of advanced microcontroller technology.
